Price:     $35.00

Description:     Spend the afternoon exploring the old and the new of the Downtown Minneapolis river front. Set next to the mighty Mississippi River you will discover the ruins of the world’s largest flour mill and a state of the art theater. Guests will enjoy tours of both locations including a behind the curtain tour of the theater and lunch before returning to the hotel.

Built into the ruins of what was once the world’s largest flour mill, Mill City Museum is located on the historic Mississippi Riverfront. Here, visitors of all ages learn about the intertwined histories of the flour industry, the river, and the city of Minneapolis.

The Guthrie Theater neighborhood is known as the Historic Mill District: it is here that Minneapolis grew up and grew strong on the back of the flour milling industry which capitalized on the energy generated by nearby St. Anthony Falls. Our site originally had been used as a railway yard for the flourmill industry.

Tour includes bus transportation and museum admittance. Tour does not include the cost of lunch but we will make a stop for lunch.

Please note this event is intended for attendees of the AJLI Annual Conference
